(Would love to know how many of you actually did try saying that 4 times. Ha ha ha...)
The "Birthday Month Funk" is that time when your birthday is creeping up and you start doing that nasty reflecting and questioning everything you shoulda, coulda, woulda done in the past 30 plus years.
Then you start to reflect on all the things you should, could, would do with the rest of your years....

Go back to college.
Move from the Midwest to the West
Spend time with family (need to move to the West for this).
But then you realize there are things that are out of your control that limit you from accomplishing them at this moment in your life.
All of that tends to put you in a funk.
A funk that I am so ready to get out of.
Nobody can go backand start a newbeginning, but anyonecan start today andmake a new ending.

I am trying to keep myself busy so that my mind doesn't wander into that negative "what if" place. I've been sewing (will post later on that), I've been working on organizing the basement, and I'm getting out of the house to visit friends.
I'm trying really hard to focus on the things that I can change. It's not always easy.
This is resonating with me more than ever....
I have to remember there is a plan...
So it's time to kick this funk to the curb and have faith that He will provide me with what I need when I am ready, willing and able. This isn't always easy but it sure beats being in a grouchy birthday month funk.
I'm off to enjoy this unexpected 63 degree weather we're having today. I hope to do some spray painting and taking my kids for a bike ride to the park.
I hope you're enjoying your Sunday as well.
